Feb 2003 Meeting

February 2003 Meeting Summary

Thanks to Dr. Patrick Michaud of Texas A & M University at Corpus Christi for the presentation on Wiki Web Pages. Most interesting way to create and maintain web presence. Of course, as of February 8, 2003, our web presence is now 'Wiki'. Thanks Dr. Michaud.

Thanks also to John Dumic, new to our group, who gave our second presentation. John talked on software for a Kiosk. A Kiosk is a display and a trackball or mouse only, where the user can interact with display screens with a web browser. His article is on our Kiosk Mode page. Our group has offered to provide software support to our host, the Corpus Christi Museum of Science and History, for future Museum displays. For further information see the Linux Documentation Project HOW-TO Thanks again, John

Our Web host is now Blue Domino, a local web host company. Thanks to our free provider of web hosting for the last four years, Iris Internet Solutions. Kudos to Neal Lundgaard for arranging for the smooth transition..

Most attendees we have had in a long time. Next time, bring a friend!!!
